Billing & Payment Terms
Billing Overview
Seek Your Geek provides both one-time and recurring services. Payment terms are based on service type:
Initial / one-time service invoices
Payment is due immediately upon invoice delivery.Recurring services (hosting, backups, monitoring, managed services, etc.)
Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless automatic payment has been arranged.
Clients enrolled in automatic payment remain in good standing as long as payment is successfully processed.
Saved Cards & Final Balance Payments
When a client elects to save a credit or debit card on file, the client authorizes Seek Your Geek LLC to use that saved payment method for balances due for the applicable service or job.
For jobs requiring a deposit, the remaining balance will generally be charged to the saved card by the close of business on the date services are completed, unless other payment arrangements have been made in advance.
If the final invoice includes additional approved labor, materials, equipment, or other charges incurred during the job, those charges may be included in the final balance processed to the saved card.
A payment receipt will be provided after the charge is successfully processed.
Clients who do not wish to have their saved card charged for the remaining balance must make alternate payment arrangements with Seek Your Geek prior to completion of the service.
Late Fees
To keep billing predictable and fair, late fees are applied as follows:
7 days past due: $25 late fee
14 days past due: Additional $50 late fee
Late fees apply per invoice and do not replace the requirement to pay the original balance.
Service Suspension
After 14 days past due, services may be paused until the account is brought current.
Paused services may include:
On-site or remote support
Monitoring and maintenance
Backup services
Web or application hosting
Access to managed platforms or systems
Emergency or after-hours support for past-due accounts may require payment in advance.
Finance Charges
After 30 days past due, a monthly finance charge may be applied to the outstanding balance.
Finance charges continue to accrue until the account balance is paid in full.
Hosted & Managed Services
For services involving hosted systems, stored data, or managed infrastructure, including but not limited to web hosting, backups, and managed platforms:
After 30 days past due, hosted services may be disabled or permanently deleted.
Restoration of deleted services or data is not guaranteed and may incur additional fees.
Clients are responsible for maintaining copies of critical data unless covered under a managed backup agreement.
Collections
Unpaid balances may be referred to collections or pursued through other lawful means. Any costs associated with collection efforts may be passed on to the client as permitted by law.
